My 2007 Can Am Outlander 500 XT

Postby PaulR » Tue Oct 07, 2008 12:19 pm

Runs great. :D
Plenty of sack. :D
Blew out both front Carlisile 3 ply tires in the first 100 miles. :x
Has an intermittent hum/whine/tone....Research suggests its fuel pressure backing up in the tank. I've yet to test this theory 100%. :|

See if I can link a pick. I got Maxxis tires on the front now.

Did you find out what was causing the Hum/whine sound. A freind has the 650 to much power for me, and I run a Kawi 650. His machine blows mine away every time.

Hey wildwest, the machine looks really great with the black rims and the bighorns. Let me know how they ride, cause I'm looking at them for my next tires.

No real solution to the intermittent hum/whine. Has to be fuel pressure. I open the tank now and again and the sound seems to stop for a while.

Ya, got the bighorns last year, hoping I can get out a few times this year.....to the one state forest there is left to wheel. :x

I've read somewhere it is fuel related cause mine is a 2010 and they fix the problem that's why we have a little smaller fuel sell
