Pittsfield State Forest will remain status Quo for the 2013 riding season. If you want to ride in PSF this year you will need to contact them to reserve a permit to ride on the day you want. October and Beartown will also allow riding on the same permit system as Pittsfield.If there is a change We will post it as soon as it is available.
New ORV laws are still in affect, make sure to check them before riding this season. How the DCR is going to inform the public we have not heard, but be rest assured they will be enforcing them.

Riding season will start in May as soon as the D.C.R. has the trails ready to ride.

Recently, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) in partnership with the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EOEEA) assembled an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Enforcement Working Group to guide the agency in recommending changes to current OHV laws, regulations and practices. The Department is sharing this information with the extensive list of individuals and organizations who have expressed an interest in the subject of OHV management to allow you to follow the progress of this committee on DCR's website http://www.mass.gov/dcr/recreate/ohv/ohvworkgroup.htm and share your thoughts regarding OHV laws, regulations and management.
